La Reunión Golf Resort & Residences
La Reunión is a world class tourist/residential resort, located 20 minutes Antigua, a colonial city that UNESCO declared a world heritage site in 1979. Built on an historic coffee plantation, this golf resort hotel is surrounded by 4 stunning volcanoes. Invoking the millenary of Guatemala’s Mayan heritage, the landscape embodies the 4 elements and the architecture pays tribute to the colonial era of Guatemala. 26 magnificent suites offer stunning views of the golf course, volcanoes, a private pool and Jacuzzi and provide a haven of comfort with rich handcrafted woods, fine linens and luxurious Molton Brown toiletries. The golf course, designed by legendary architect Pete Dye, seeks to resemble the 18-month calendar of the Mayans. Alternate activities include swimming in the pool, tennis, canopies and rappeling, mini-golf, squash, football, trekking and summer camps. There is also a kids’ club for children ages 4-12 years old. Dine in the elegant El Mirador Restaurant, named after one of the largest Mayan archeological sites in the Mayan World. The specialties of the restaurant are meat and pasta but the fresh fish is excellent and to end the meal, the desserts are must, especially with a cup of Guatemalan Antigua Coffee, or sip a drink in the Wayeb or Sky Bar. The resort also houses an ecological reserve where guests can explore the lush flora and fauna of Guatemala.
