Curu National Park
Location: Central Pacific
Small, but wonderful, the Curu Refuge is located on the Nicoya peninsula. There is excellent birding and wildlife watching here, and a good network of trails. Mangrove swamp, littoral woodland, and semideciduous and deciduous forest as well as nesting areas for Olive Ridley and Green Sea trutles can be found here.
Most of our visitors to Curu are sailing on the Windstar Cruise. This is the best way to see this park. Otherwise, you need to make arrangements with the Schutt family prior to arrival.

From San José: 2 hours to Puntarenas/1 hour Ferry to Paquera/.5 hour drive or…Windstar Cruises.
Principle attractions: Excellent birding and wildlife watching, good network of trails.
