Wow. A free day without moving anywhere! We were so glad to stay put at such a fantastic property, the lovely Hotel Punta Islita.

We spent the morning doing site inspections of the hotel and most of the villas on Punta Islita’s large property. These villas are super nice and have outstanding ocean views.

Most come with a personal golf cart to get around the resort and all have private pools. Punta Islita offers two, three, and four bedroom villas with full kitchens and upscale outdoor living areas. The villas area great for families or for those who are looking for a little extra privacy and luxury. I thought they were all really nicely appointed, I would recommend them to anyone!

Punta Islita Pool

Hotel Punta Islita also features Deluxe Rooms and Suites with amazing ocean views. One of the great amenities of this hotel is the ocean-side family beach club with a freshwater pool. This is a great place to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

Punta Islita Hammocks

In the afternoon, Jenna, Kent and I went kayaking on the Ora River. It was a beautiful site and we spotted many species of shore birds who flew up the river from the sea. It was a good workout and I felt proud that I was able to keep up with the rest the young ones! Thank goodness I was in a double kayak with our wonderful guide. There are three river kayaking tours in the Punta Islita catalog, the other tours are a bit longer than the one we did.

Punta Islita Kayaking

Late afternoon, we relaxed by the pool and enjoyed some adult beverages hosted by Andrea, the poolside bartender who was so much fun and did great job at keeping everyone happy.

Punta Islita Bar

We had a great relaxing day, prior to the upcoming drive to Tambor.
